MY PHILOSOPHY
I like to focus more on helping each person achieve wholeness. I truly desire that every person should be comfortable and more at peace with living in their own bodies. I enjoy watching clients discover new things about how they move through the exercises. I believe that we only get one body and we should treat it with the care and respect that it deserves. I enjoy taking others on a journey to discover how functional movement can alleviate pain, prevent injury and assist in any rehabilitation post injury. I teach because I want clients to feel stronger, taller, focused and fulfilled.
Pilates changed the way I moved as a dancer and in my everyday life. Learning about kinesiology and Laban technique in my training opened up my desire to look for more modalities that would help improve my dancing abilities. When I found Pilates I found my niche. As I have worked in the fitness industry I have been able to use all of my experience and techniques to enhance the Pilates modality for each person.
I practice Pilates because I love motion and movement. Pilates has pushed me beyond my comfort zone and helped me discover new things that I didn't think I was capable of. I am always surprised at the strength and resilience my practice brings.
I teach Pilates because I want to impact people who are in need of movement, rehabilitation and to help them become more and more comfortable in their bodies. As Joseph Pilates has said, "Not only is health a normal condition but it is our duty to not only to attain it but to maintain it."
